Nutcracker Student Matinees

Bring your students to the ballet.

Student Matinee Pricing

  • Tickets: $9 per student

  • Bus transportation: $2 per seat (see the form for eligibility)

  • Chaperones: One free chaperone for every 25 students. Additional chaperones are $9 each.

How it Works

  1. Request your reservation. Fill out the form below with your group size and preferred time.

  2. Get your invoice. We’ll build your reservation and email you an invoice from Ludus, our ticketing platform. If your preferred time is full, we’ll email you with other options.

  3. Pay by December 4. Pay by check, or online by credit card. Card payments include processing fees.

  4. Watch for your confirmation letter. Letters with arrival and parking details go out via email by December 11. You don’t need to bring paper or digital tickets to the performance.

Plan Your Visit

Venue: Concert Hall at Century II, 225 W Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67202

Parking: Parking is available in the Century II parking garage and surrounding lots. Plan to arrive at least 20-30 minutes before your performance. Bus transportation is available for schools within Wichita city limits for $2 per seat. Check the reservation form for details.

Tickets: Every group must have a reservation with us before the performance. We can’t admit walk-up groups at the door. There’s nothing to print or show when you arrive. Your confirmation letter has everything you need.

Accessibility: Century II is wheelchair accessible. Let us know on the form how many wheelchair spaces your group needs, plus any other accommodations, and we’ll do our best to take care of it.

Bring Your Class to the Ballet

For many students, this is their first live ballet and their first time hearing a full orchestra. Two performances for school groups at Century II, with the Ballet Wichita Symphony playing live. Seats are limited.

Join us at the Nutcracker Ballet

Every December, Ballet Wichita opens the doors of Century II to school groups from across the region for a special student performance of the Nutcracker.

​

Ballet Wichita’s Nutcracker Student Matinees bring a shortened version of the Nutcracker to the Century II Concert Hall for school groups. For many students, it’s their first time seeing live ballet, and their first time hearing a full orchestra play live. Last year, our student matinees welcomed more than 3,700 students.
